Interior Design in Markham

Markham grew fast, and it grew with a plan. Cornell was built as a new-urbanist community from the ground up — narrow lots, rear lanes, and houses close enough to the street that the porch actually gets used — while Angus Glen's estate homes sit on golf-course lots with the kind of principal rooms that need real furniture, not what came with a builder's package. Both bring the same underlying request: make a big, open plan feel like somewhere specific people live, not a show home.

A lot of our Markham work is also about fitting more than one generation under one roof — a main-floor bedroom and bath for a parent, a second kitchen in the basement, separate but connected living spaces. It's a common ask here, and it changes the floor plan more than the finishes.

Unionville's Main Street is the exception — 19th-century storefronts and cottages that call for a lighter, more careful hand than a five-year-old subdivision. We work in Markham from our Toronto base, along the 404 or Highway 7, the same as we do across the rest of York Region.
