Designing for a city built in two eras
Mississauga reads as two different cities depending on where you stand. Along the lake in Port Credit and Mineola, the stock is older and lower — postwar bungalows and split-levels on generous lots, many now being reconfigured for how families actually live rather than how a 1965 floor plan assumed they would. A few kilometres north, the City Centre skyline is almost entirely vertical, a dense run of condo towers where the design problem is the opposite: not too many small, disconnected rooms, but one open box that has to hold a living room, a dining table, a home office, and storage without feeling like a hotel suite.
The renovation work out here tends to fall into a few honest categories: opening up a boxy 1970s main floor to get light moving through the house, replacing a builder's original kitchen and baths that were never updated, or fitting a full life into a condo without it looking makeshift. None of that is as photogenic as a heritage restoration, but it rewards a plan drawn before anyone touches a wall.
We work here from our Toronto base, a short drive along the QEW or the 403 — close enough that site visits, trade coordination, and installs happen the same way they would for a project in the city itself.

Do you have a design studio in Mississauga?
No — we're based in Toronto and travel across the GTA, including Mississauga, for site visits, trade coordination, and installs. Most early conversations happen by video call regardless of where you are.
Can you work with a condo in the City Centre, or only houses?
Both, and condos are some of our favourite work — every square foot has to earn its place. We scope the engagement to the unit, whether that's a full renovation or a styling pass on a space that's already renovated.
Do you handle permits and the renovation itself, or just the design?
We produce full construction documentation and coordinate with your contractor and trades on site, so the finished space matches the drawings. Permit applications are typically handled by your contractor, drawn to what the city requires.
Do you work in Port Credit and Mineola specifically?
Yes — those lower-density, older neighbourhoods are some of the most common places we get called into for main-floor renovations.
