A designer's eye, without the full engagement
Not every project needs a designer on site for nine months. Sometimes you're stuck on one decision — a paint colour, a layout that won't resolve, whether to knock through or not — and an hour with someone who does this for a living is all it takes. A virtual consultation gives you that: a working video call, real answers, and a plan you can carry out yourself or hand to a contractor.
How the call works
You walk us through the space with photos, plans, or just your phone camera. We talk through layout, materials, colour, and the decisions you're circling. It's a conversation, not a lecture — you'll get pushback where it helps and honest answers where you want them. Afterward you get a short written summary with the key decisions and next steps, so nothing evaporates the moment we hang up.
When a call is enough — and when it isn't
For one room, a colour rethink, or unblocking a stalled project, a consultation is often everything you need. If the project is genuinely bigger — a full renovation, a whole-home brief — we'll say so plainly and point you to the right service rather than stretch a call to cover what it can't. We work across time zones, so being outside Toronto or LA isn't a problem.

How does a virtual consultation actually work?
We meet over video. You walk us through the space with photos, plans, or your phone camera, and we talk through layout, materials, and the decisions you're stuck on. You get a written summary afterward.
Is this enough, or do I need full design?
For one room, a colour rethink, or unblocking a decision, a consultation is often all you need. If the project is bigger than that, we'll tell you plainly and point you to the right service.
Do you work across time zones?
Yes. Remote is the whole point — we've run consultations well outside Toronto and LA hours. We'll find a time that works for both of us.
