Affordable Interior Design in Toronto
Design help does not have to start at five figures. Our fees run about 35% below the Toronto market, and we publish them so you can budget before you call.

Why our fees are lower
We are a small studio with no showroom, no sales team, and no layer of account managers between you and the person drawing your plans. That overhead is what pushes a lot of Toronto design fees up, and we do not carry it.
Lower fees do not mean less work. For the same scope, the drawing set, the specification, and the site attendance are the same as at a bigger studio. What changes is the price, and how the work is broken up so you only pay for what you need.
Here is where to start, depending on budget.
Ways to work with us on a budget
Hourly, at $55 to $145 an hour. Good for a consultation, a second opinion on a contractor's plan, or help choosing paint and tile. You can stop whenever you like.
Virtual design, at $225 to $780 per room. A layout, a finish direction, and a shopping list you buy from yourself. No site visits. Works well for a single room when you are comfortable doing the ordering.
Single room refresh, at $975 to $3,250. Styling and sourcing for one room with no construction. Most people start here for a living room or bedroom.
These sit about 35% under the corresponding Toronto market ranges. The full tables, market and ours side by side, are on our cost page.
Where to spend and where to save
The design fee is usually the smaller part of a project. What saves real money is what gets specified. A good plan avoids buying the wrong sofa, ordering tile twice, or moving a plumbing line that did not need to move.
Spend on what you touch daily and what is hard to change: the sofa, the mattress, kitchen drawers, lighting. Save on what is easy to swap: side tables, art, cushions, accessories.
Mix high and low. A room with one good piece and the rest from IKEA, Structube, or a vintage shop on Queen West often looks better than a room bought entirely from one mid-range catalogue.
What affordable should not mean
It should not mean an unclear invoice. Ask any studio for the fee model, the deliverables, and what you owe if you stop at each stage, and get the answers in writing.
And it should not mean a design that only works with expensive furniture. We plan to your budget, not around one.
What every engagement includes
Published fees
Every range is on our cost page, so you can set a budget before the first call.
Measured plan
Furniture drawn to scale so nothing gets ordered that does not fit.
Hourly when that is enough
If a couple of hours of advice will solve it, we say so and bill the hours, not a package.
Toronto work
Concept studies from the Toronto side of the studio, labelled for what they are.
Fee questions, answered
What is the cheapest way to get interior design help in Toronto?
An hourly consultation ($55 to $145 an hour with YaDesign) or a virtual design package ($225 to $780 per room). Both give you a professional plan without paying for full project management.
How are your fees 35% below market?
Low overhead. No showroom, no sales or account staff, and a small team doing the design work directly. The deliverables are the same as at a larger studio.
Do you take small projects?
Yes. A single room, a paint consultation, or a few hours of advice are all welcome. We would rather help with a small job well than turn it down.
Do you charge a markup on furniture?
Items bought through our trade accounts carry a procurement percentage, set out in the fee agreement before anything is ordered. You can also buy everything yourself from our list.
Is a virtual design package as good as in-person?
For a single room where you can measure accurately and send good photos, yes. For anything involving construction, plumbing, or electrical, we need to see the space.
Where can I see all your fees?
Our Toronto cost page publishes both the market ranges and our own fees for every scope, side by side.
Start with an hour
Tell us the room and your budget. If an hour or two of advice at $55 to $145 an hour will solve it, we will say so rather than sell you a package. We reply within two working days.
