What full-scope actually means
Full-scope means we own the whole thing, not a mood board you hand to someone else. We draw the plans, specify every finish, design the joinery, and place the last cushion ourselves. Most clients come to us partway through a renovation that's stalled, or before a single wall has moved. Either way the goal is the same: a house that works the way you actually live, not the way a showroom thinks you should.
Renovation, new build, or a single floor
We take whole homes, single floors, and rooms that have to talk to the rest of the house. On a gut renovation we draw alongside your architect and trades from the start, so the kitchen island isn't fighting a beam nobody mentioned. On a new build we're in early, shaping how light moves through rooms before the framing locks it in. And when it's one room — a primary suite, a kitchen — we still design it as part of the whole, so it doesn't read as a transplant.
How we price, and what it costs
Residential design is priced on scope, not a flat rate, because a styled living room and a four-storey renovation aren't the same job. After discovery you get a fee proposal and a budget band for the build itself, both in writing. A whole-home project usually runs nine to eighteen months from first meeting to handover. We tell you where the money goes, where it's worth spending more, and where it isn't.

Do you only work in Toronto and Los Angeles?
Those are our two home bases, and most residential work happens there. We do take projects elsewhere when the fit is right — ask, and we'll be honest about whether we can do it well.
Can you work with my architect or builder?
Yes. On renovations and new builds we sit alongside your architect and trades from early on, so the interior and the architecture move together rather than colliding at the end.
How long does a full home take?
A whole-home project typically runs nine to eighteen months from first meeting to handover, depending on scope and construction. We give you a realistic timeline once we've seen the space.
